Day Three

One of the hardest things about booking gigs is knowing where to start.

Today we’re going to develop your plan for the year so that you know exactly what to do each month.

The rest of the year it’ll simply be a matter of following the plan.

Today you’ll identify groups to contact at the start of each month to book gigs.

Because we’re working this plan it will simply be a matter of making a few contacts at the start of each month to book five extra gigs.

After today you’ll know who to contact and then in the next couple of days, you’ll learn the easiest way to contact them and book the gigs.

Yesterday we talked about a lot of the people and groups that love to book performers and when you should contact them.

As we discussed, you need to book the gigs anywhere from a few weeks to a few months in advance.

We’ve spent time thinking about the perfect week and the gigs you LOVE to do.

Let’s figure out how to get even more of the gigs you love.

The worksheet “My Plan for Each Month” will help you identify the gigs you will love doing and will help you figure out when to contact the groups so you are most likely to book the gigs.

You’ve already seen a lot of the places you can get gigs.

And you probably are full of ideas for other groups, places, and organizations that would love to book you.

As you go through the worksheet think about the gigs you’d love to do and think about when they are most likely to book you.

Take all the time you need on the worksheet.

I’ll see you tomorrow.
